The Photoshoot
Led by artist and designer Rebeca Mendez, I assisted in the production of a 224-page brand book to launch a new brand identity for luxury handwoven rug studio WOVEN. I started with research and assistant art direction for a 3-day photoshoot at the Wright Ranch in Malibu, CA.
The photoshoot set out to embody the concept of the modern nomad and the brand tagline 'wherever I lay my rug, that is my home'. I assisted in designing scenes including costuming, lighting, and model selections. On a crowded set with beautiful moments to be captured all over, the ambitious shoot was a major collaborative effort.
The Book
After the photoshoot, I transitioned to photo processing and graphic design. The photos had to be precisely color-corrected to accurately represent the rugs while maintaining the natural beauty of the Malibu lighting. I also spent several days at the printing facility, doing rigorous color and quality checks.
